Raymond Rion, MD serves as an Active Family Physician Member at Packard Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), in Ann Arbor. 

Following his education at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Dr. Rion completed his Family Medicine Residency at Brown University. Since then, he has held various academic and professional appointments, including roles as a Clinical Instructor and Assistant Chair for Clinical Programs at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Rion's passion for community health and leadership has led him to serve as Medical Director at several healthcare organizations, including Dexter Family Medicine and Huron Valley Physician Association, Ann Arbor. 

Dr. Rion's leadership extends beyond clinical practice. As Executive Director of Packard Health he spearheaded initiatives to stabilize finances and expand services. Under his guidance, Packard Health achieved FQHC status and experienced exponential growth, quadrupling in size between 2012 and 2022. Dr. Rion's leadership also facilitated the establishment of critical programs, including the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program, addressing the needs of low-income populations in Washtenaw County. 

In addition to his roles within Packard Health, Dr. Rion is actively engaged in various committees and boards, including the Michigan Community Health Network and McAuley Health Partners. He has supported quality improvement efforts and advocacy for healthcare access and equity across Michigan. Dr. Rion's dedication to the profession has been recognized through prestigious awards, including the 2023 Michigan Academy of Family Physicians Family Physician of the Year.
