Christopher Milback, MD, MBA, FAAFPAs an advocate for family medicine and physician-led organizations, and an executive physician with leadership experience in organized medicine at the county and state levels, Dr. Chris Milback believes that he can give back to his profession and specialty through the MAFP. “I am honored to serve on the MAFP Board of Directors as a Member at Large, representing the needs of over 4,200 family physicians, residents, and students across the state,” he said. Throughout his career, Dr. Milback has served as chief of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, in a variety of leadership roles at Health Plus of Michigan and Trinity Health, and as an associate clinical professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He is a former board member and past president of Oakland County Medical Society, as well as a former member of the Michigan State Medical Society Board. He has been and continues to be a strong mentor of younger physicians as they launch their careers, helping them develop their own leadership paths. Today Dr. Milback is chief medical officer at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. In this role, he is a physician champion for enhancing quality of care, ensuring comprehensive healthcare delivery and patient safety, and providing an exceptional care experience in the hospital and region. Dr. Milback completed medical school at State University of New York Upstate Medical University, family medicine residency at the Albany Medical Center Program in New York, and a Master’s in Business Administration in healthcare management at Oakland University. |
