3. Beyond the Smoke: A Practical Approach to Vaping & Tobacco Use

This presentation reviews the evolving landscape of nicotine addiction, emphasizing both traditional smoking and the rise of electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). 6. Integrating Medical Acupuncture into Clinical Practice

Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment for a number of maladies for more than 3,000 years. This presentation will trace the history of acupuncture from its roots in China to present day evidence based medical acupuncture, which is now practiced exclusively by physicians. 8. OMT for all Physicians: Neck, Upper Back, Shoulder, and Rib Pain

11. What's New and What Can I Do? Ten High-Yield Substance Use Disorder Updates for the Busy Family Physician

Substance use disorder (SUD) remains a major contributor to morbidity and mortality in the U.S., yet most individuals with SUD do not receive treatment. Its impact falls disproportionately on historically marginalized communities. While we see promising trends in opioid-related mortality, substances such as kratom-related products and marijuana are growing in use, and alcohol and tobacco continue to kill more than any other substance. Family physicians are well positioned to address these troubling trends. In this co-presented session, an addiction medicine family physician and a behavioral health specialist will explore the latest shifts in substance use and provide evidence-based management strategies, focusing on high-impact skills, multidisciplinary care, and actionable point-of-care tools for everyday practice.
